Fostering student engagement, healthy decision making and academic achievement

The First 56 is an opportunity for Auburn to create a culture in which the Auburn Family supports students in the transition to college. The initiative begins with Convocation and lasts until Fall Break focused on student success!

First 56 logo

The First 56 is inspired by the founding of Auburn in 1856, and will seek to support students through a successful transition to Auburn over the course of their First 56 days.

For many students, the First 56 days of the school year set the tone for the rest of the year to come. Through the First 56 we are able to provide a unified, integrated welcome to the Auburn Family.

Programs under the First 56 intentionally promote the following areas: student engagement, healthy decision making and academic achievement.
